Resorts in the US Virgin Islands

The US Virgin Islands are among the preferred destinations for weddings, honeymoons and romantic getaways in the Caribbean. Most of the resorts offer some sort of romantic package. The beautiful islands also offer great places to snorkel, scuba and enjoy the nature.

Tourist season

The high season lasts between November/December (depending on the resort) and April. Christmas and New Year’s represent the peak of the season, with the highest rates for accommodation and flights. The low season coincides with the rainy season – May to November – but many resorts offer special discounted packages during this time to keep attracting tourists.

St. Croix: The Palms at Pelican Cove

This is a small hotel, with private beach where you can swim, snorkel or just soak up the sun. There are 40 rooms, all with lovely views of the beach. This is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for a romantic getaway. During the high season, the price is US$2475.00 for 7 nights or US$1875.00 for 5 nights.

St. Thomas: Crystal Cove Beach Resort on Sapphire Bay

The resort is located right on Sapphire Beach, on the east end of St. Thomas. You can swim, snorkel or just enjoy the sun. If you want to spend a romantic vacation, this is a great place to come. During the high season (Dec 16 – Apr 14) expect to pay US$250 per night per room based on double occupancy and the price includes the local tax.

St. Thomas: Secret Harbour Beach Resort

This is another small hotel which combines an active holiday – snorkel, fitness center, tennis courts – with romantic getaways. There’s a private beach as well. The hotel organizes weddings and you can also book a romantic vacation here. The rates average around US$307 per night (according to some reservation websites) but you have to email the hotel to get the price.
