There are 23 inhabited islands in the Bahamas and there is plenty of accommodation on each of them. Out of those islands, the most popular among tourists are: Nassau/Paradise Island, Grand Bahama Island, The Abacos, Cat Island, The Exumas and Long Island.
Tourist Season
Bahamas has a pleasurable climate all year round, with temperatures averaging 70-75 F from September to March and 80-85 F the rest of the year. The high season starts in mid-December and ends in March, with the peak season being around Christmas and New Years.
If you plan to save some money, visit Bahamas during the shoulder season – early December or April. Prices are at their lowest during the low season (May to November).

Nassau/Paradise Island
Atlantis – Paradise Island Beach Tower is part of the Atlantis Beach Resort (which also comprises Coral Tower and Royal Tower) and offers some of the best accommodation, facilities and activities in Bahamas. There is a water park and a marine life exhibit. The resort includes more than 20 swimming areas, a health spa, a casino and a lot of restaurants. The Beach Tower, a 3 ½ starts hotel, is located in the quieter part of the island at about 3 miles from the beach. During the low season (May to November) expect to pay between US$219/night/room (2 persons) and US$530/night/room depending on the type of room. Taxes and service fees are not included in the room price.
Grand Bahama Island
Old Bahama Bay is a 4 starts resort located on the western tip of Grand Bahama Island. There are a pool and a private beach. The water sports gear is included in the package price. And open-air beach bar and several restaurants cater for the tourists. During the low season, prices range between US$320/night/room and US$790/night/room depending on the type of room. The prices include free airport shuttle but don’t include the taxes and service fees.
The Abacos
Abaco Beach Resort & Boat Harbour is a 3 ½ starts resort located on the east shore of Great Abaco Island. The resort has a private beach, pool, as well as the possibility to rent boats for tours. During the low season prices start at US$280/night/room. Prices do not include the taxes and service fees.
