Hotels in St. Eustatius
There aren’t many hotels on the island and all are tiny. So if you plan to spend your vacation here, make sure to book well in advance.
Climate and tourist season
The weather is tropical and hot, but cooled down by the trade winds. The average annual daytime temperature is 27C/80F. The wet season lasts between June and November while the dry season lasts between December and May.
The high tourist season lasts between December and April, with the highest prices being around Christmas and New Year’s. The shoulder season is in May and October/November and that’s when you can benefit from some of the best discounted offers.
Worth trying
Country Inn
Located on Zeelandia Bay, the inn offers only 6 rooms, equipped with AC and TV. The room price is US$50 per night for the single room and US$60 per night for the double room, taxes included. Breakfast costs US$5.00. Credit cards are not accepted.
The Golden Era Hotel
This charming and tranquil hotel offers 20 rooms, equipped with TV, phone and fridge. There are a pool and a small restaurant on site as well. Right next door to the hotel you’ll find a dive shop and the sunken ruins of the lower town are within very easy each. The price per room per night is up to US$150. Credit cards are accepted.
Statia Lodge
Located near Oranjestad center, the lodge offers a place where you can relax and enjoy the Caribbean. There’s a pool on site and the bungalows have kitchens and a beautiful terrace. The Hibiscus Bungalows cost US$145 per night per room based on double occupancy and a rental scooter is included in the room price, while the Bougainvillea Bungalows cost US$225 per night for 3 or 4 persons and a rental car is included in the room price.
