Flights to St. Eustatius
This small and remote Dutch island receives only local flights but it can be quite easy to find cheap plane tickets to St. Eustatius.
Airports and airlines
The main airport on the island is F D Roosevelt (EUX), located near the regional capital of Oranjestad. It receives local flights from St. Marteen, generally on WinAir. The only US airline flying directly into St. Eustatius is US Airways, but they do that from St.Maarten.
You can however book your flight to St. Eustatius on any US airline which flies into St.Marteen, but the last leg of your journey will be on WinAir. Most often, Delta, American or Continental have lowest fairs than US Airways.
If you depart from Europe, you can catch any flight into St.Maarten from London or Amsterdam and then take the local airline into St. Eustatius. You can book your entire journey before leaving Europe though.
Tips to get a cheap ticket to St. Eustatius
If you plan to visit during the peak season –Christmas and New Years- or high season –January to March- book well in advance. Choosing the shoulder season –early December and early April- means you can save some on your flight.
If you leave on a short notice your best bet is for a mid-week flight (Tuesday or Wednesday) as the weekend flights book up first.
