Island Palm Resort Hotel

This intimate resort is located in the heart of Freeport, Bahamas. A lot of activities are available near-by the resort: from shopping to water sports and everything in between. The resort offers 143 modern rooms, all equipped with AC, phone and TV. The resort offers a swimming pool and poolside music and dancing. The hotel’s guests can use the complimentary bus to/from Island Seas Beach and Resort.

The Great Get-Away package is a 3 days/2 nights package which includes shopping, sightseeing , discount book , snorkel tour and other discounts at the hotel and restaurant. It costs only US$269 per person.

The All Inclusive package includes 4 days/3 nights with breakfast and dinner daily, drinking coupons, island sightseeing and shopping tour , wellness massage for 2, as well as all taxes. It costs US$359 per person.

Red Carpet Inn

The hotel is located in Nassau at about 10 min drive from downtown – if you don’t mind being far away from pretty much everything this is the place to stay. On the plus side, the prices are low during the entire year and the hotel even has a swimming pool. Near-by activities include snorkeling, golf and fishing. There are two types of rooms available: superior and state (these are non-smoking). All rooms have microwave, fridge and TV.

The 2009 rates are US$131.00 per night for the superior room and US$146.00 per night for the state room. Prices are based on double occupancy and include all taxes. The minimum nights stay is 5 for the entire season.

Orange Hill Beach Inn

The resort is set on the top of a hill and only couple of steps from the beach. The hotel has only 32 rooms and offers a relaxed and laid-back atmosphere, perfect for those want to escape the dress cods and other requirements at the big hotel chains. Usually those who stay at Small Hope Bay Lodge (see below) would stop for a layover at our hotel.

The hotel offers studios, pool side rooms, apartments and private cottages as well as a restaurant, a bar and a pool.

The winter room rates are not published yet but during the summer (until December 18, 2008) the rates range between US$97 per night for a single room , US$110 per night for a double room or studio and US$129 per night for a cottage (sleeps 2). The rates don’t include the taxes.

Small Hope Bay Lodge

Located on Andros Island, the lodge is pretty much a hostel disguised in the form of a sort of a resort…it has a game room, a dining area, a bar room and a reading room plus the low prices which go with the hostel feeling. The emphasis is on a natural environment with relaxing, low-impact lifestyle or in other words: no phone, no TV, no anything which can be called “modern”. On the other hand they cannot care less about the dress code so feel free to wear whatever you want as long as you are not naked. The hotel offers 21 rooms right on the beach as well as a honeymoon cottage.

During the high season the daily all inclusive price is US$260 for an adult. Dive and Snorkeling packages are also available.

The Green Wedding package costs US$750 and includes personalized wedding table cloths and napkins, wedding favors and disposable cameras.

Stella Maris Resort Club

Some won’t consider this resort exactly cheap particularly because of what it has to offer: 3 swimming pools, rooms with AC and lovely view of the ocean, patio, coffee maker and sort of luxurious. The resort offers only 32 rooms and you can choose between cottages, apartments, villas and bungalows. The resort also has a restaurant and a game room for the guests. A variety of free activities are included in the room price, such as snorkeling, sight-seeing.

Then summer and fall 2008 prices range between US$170 per night for a double room in the hotel, US$195 per night for a 1 bedroom cottage (Sleeps 2) and US$625 for a 3 or 4 bedroom bungalow with pool (sleeps 6).

The winter and spring 2009 prices range between US$190 per night for a double room in the hotel, US$215 195 per night for a 1 bedroom cottage (Sleeps 2) and US$675 for a 3 or 4 bedroom bungalow with pool (sleeps 6).
