Best Restaurants in Bahamas
Eating is an important part of our lives, whether we want to admit it or not. And when we are on a lovely vacation, we expect to eat at the best places in town. Although the majority of travelers are tempted to eat at the restaurant within their resort (or very close by), we recommend to start exploring and look for the most interesting places to eat.
Let’s take a look at what Bahamas has to offer in terms of restaurants.
Lucaya: Zorba’s Greek Restaurant
Greek food so far away from Greece? Of course. But Zorba’s also offer Bahamian cuisine. The breakfast is always Bahamian, with everything from grits, corn beef, chicken sauce and eggs. It’s one of the places where the locals like to eat breakfast but you’ll also find tourists and the port’s yach-in clientele. Lunch, however, is purely Greek: gyros, souvlaki and kabobs are in the menu waiting for you. Dinner is also Greek: salads, moussaka and baklava can make a perfect combination.
Don’t worry about attire since the restaurant is casual. You can stay on the terrace and watch the hustle and bustle of the port before you eyes. The restaurant is located in Port Lucaya Marketplace, cross the road from Our Lucaya and a short walk from Pelican Bay Hotel.
Price range: US$10-15
Nassau: Cafe Matisse
Great location and great Italian cuisine: homemade pasta, seafood, pizza and delicious desserts. The wines are also incredible. You can dine in the courtyard or veranda. Dazzle your tasting buds with grilled lobster, roasted duck, filet mignon, tiramisu and many more. The menu is changed every three months so expect to find delicious new things.
The restaurant is also great if you plan to have a small party or wedding reception. Make sure to wear formal attire.
Open daily from 12:00 pm to 11 pm, closed on Sundays and Mondays.
Price range: US$25-100
